Ethernet connected but 'Network is unreachable'

Tue Dec 02, 2014 9:54 pm

Hey everyone,

I have an issue, the VoCore is having problems connecting to the internet. My setup is this: Stock vocore w/ dock.

Internet <-> Cable Modem <-> Router <-> Vocore (lan) <-> My Laptop (vocore wifi).

My laptop is connected to the SSID "vocore" and has the internet (I'm writing this from it now) but when I log into the Vocore using the UART I get a "Network is unreachable" if I ping anything other than the local loop back. Here's my ifconfig -a. What's going on?

Code: Select all

          RX bytes:1316647 (1.2 MiB)  TX bytes:5085113 (4.8 MiB)

My local network is 10.0.0.XXX. My laptop (behind the Vocore's wifi is assigned a valid 10.0.0.XXX address but the vocore itself doesn't seem to be.

This might be firewall problem. Not sure about that, just enable forward, it should be ok.

Has the VoCore acquired a network address on the Ethernet port? Assuming your router is acting as a DHCP server, you should be able to see your VoCore in the router's list of DHCP clients.

I realize this won't be a helpful reply but I ended up figuring out the issue. I setup the core in AP+STP mode and from there I was good to go

Return to VoCore & VoCore+Dock
