Can't connect with TTL

Using the supplied TTL adapter hooked up as shown here http://vocore.io/wiki/index/id:14

Putty configured with 57600 8N1. It's just printing out garbage, see the screenshot. Any ideas? I've tried all the common baud rates just for the heck of it but none of them give a successful decode. I messed up the network settings and can't get in via the wifi :(

Looks like GND is not connect together.

But it is, I've checked the connections so many times. Even verified with an ohmeter. See attached picture... I tried using the power supply ground as well but that didn't work at all...

Disregard, I figured it out. I was counting from the header pins, missing the first via...

Anyway I'm in via the serial console now, trying to figure out what to reset. I tried to bridge the wired and wireless connections from LUCI which was when I got locked out.

Got that sorted too, run 'firstboot' to reset factory defaults.

Looks like you connect the wrong port, the black wire(GND I guess)should connect to the hole under it.
And also RX, TX both should connect the hole under it

check the pin map.
