Please don't switch subjects in a thread, it ruins the ability to find answers about a particular subject.

This thread is about using the repository I set up for people that don't want to compile their openwrt image themselves. If your speed problem is related to the image I compiled, please post a comparison between it and the stock image at http://vonger.cn/upload/vocore.v1.0.bin

Your question looks to me like it belongs in the Help section of the forum where interested people can help with your problem.

I'm surprised no one else has noticed/posted this but chaos calmer now has the first release candidate available. We finally have a (semi) stable point of reference.

The official repository is here. I have also incorporated most of the changes specific to the VoCore in my github repository which you can find here. There is a prebuilt repository of my stuff here

The main changes I have done can be seen here, they mainly are the same changes between the stock VoCore and and the official openwrt but my prebuilt image also points opkg.conf at the repository above.

There are a lot of bugs fixed since the VoCore came out so I definitely recommend giving this a whirl!

The main thing I like about a stable reference is you can flash an image and afterwards you can install ipkg's without worry about incompatibilities because of software versions.

I noticed while building my repo that the VOCORE.dts in the official repo is for the alpha version (I think). This sets the firmware partition to 8 meg instead of the 16 meg that the 1.0 version has.

Here is a demonstration:

Official repo:
Code: Select all
root@OpenWrt:/# df -h
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs                    4.4M    304.0K      4.1M   7% /
/dev/root                 2.3M      2.3M         0 100% /rom
tmpfs                    14.2M     68.0K     14.1M   0% /tmp
/dev/mtdblock6            4.4M    304.0K      4.1M   7% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay        4.4M    304.0K      4.1M   7% /
tmpfs

My repo:
Code: Select all
root@OpenWrt:/# df -h
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs                   12.3M    500.0K     11.8M   4% /
/dev/root                 2.5M      2.5M         0 100% /rom
tmpfs                    14.2M     68.0K     14.1M   0% /tmp
/dev/mtdblock6           12.3M    500.0K     11.8M   4% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay       12.3M    500.0K     11.8M   4% /
tmpfs                   512.0K         0    512.0K   0% /dev

I also set the uboot-env partition to read/write so my u-boot envtools port can set u-boot environment variables from Linux

Just got my VoCore, I'll try to clone your repo and see if it works out of the box.

Did you try to build aircrack-ng and can-utils (cangen/candump ...) ?

Thanks !
