Unable to log in following firmware upgrade..

Can anyone help please?

I compiled the latest firmware following the instructions here: http://vonger.cn/?p=412
Then I installed the update using the Luci interface as per the instructions here: http://vocore.io/wiki/index/id:14 (option 1).

I ticked the box to save settings however after the installation I am unable to log in.

SSH rejects my password (vocore no longer works, neither does a blank password).
Web access directs to /cgi-bin/luci and then fails (unable to connect error).

Why did the upgrade change the login password? Does anyone know what the new password is and how I can get back in?

Many thanks for any info.

How did you update?

Try to connect via telnet and then set the password via passwd.

If connect a serial client such as PuTTY via the serial UART then it will connect you to the console as root - no password required. This should enable you to reset the root password or use dmesg, logread etc to find out what other problems are stopping you from connecting via the network.
