Mesh Router via OLSRD

Has anyone been able to build a mesh of Vocore nodes? It seems to be a highly useful application in the IoT.
BroadBand HamNet (Ham Radio Mesh Networking) uses OLSR running on OpenWRT on Raspberry Pi to create Mesh Networks.
