HELP ~, Can't connect to my VoCore2

Fri Dec 16, 2016 5:35 am

Well, that's my first time to use VoCore and I'm a totally green hand,

As I got this little box, I just follow the v2u.html guide and power on it (via the microUSB port on the box to my computer's USB), everything is ok.
I got the "VoCore2" in my computer hotspot list, then I connect it via wifi, the Luci interface and SSH are fine.
Then I plug out VoCore2 from my computer's USB hub after the first try (I just remove it as normal router, I think it's a hot-plugging device),

But now, When I re-power on my VoCore2, the LED lights on, I can also find the "VoCore2" in my computer hotspot list,
but i can't connect it at all, It seems the DHCP service not work and my computer can't get a address

Then I try to find the "/dev/ttyUSBx" or "/dev/ttyACMx" on my system ( xubuntu), but I got nothing
No matter how many times I plug in/out it to my computer, the "dmesg" outputs nothing defferent

Who can help me please!
I totally have no idea about it now, there are my system-shell's outputs with command "dmsg | grep usb" :

Code: Select all
null@Precision:/dev$ dmesg | grep usb

BTW, I ran command "opkg update" and install the shadowsocks-client package when I first try,
but I don't even config it or run it at all, Is there anything wrong?

Thanks

I heard from Chin your problem solved -- it is because your USB wire do not have DP/DM wires...It just a power charge USB wire. ^_^''

I have a similar problem.

Vocore2 worked OK out of the box but changes to wifi settings via LuCi did not work. Wifi SSID changed to "OpenWrt" (not "Vocore2" or the SSID I had typed in ("gnat") and wifi security did not work.

I tried reflashing firmware via the LuCi interface. Vocore2 rebooted, but now I cannot connect to it. Dhcpd does not appear to be running on the wireless interface and I cannot connect by setting the client IP address manually.

The DHCP client appears to still be running on the ethernet interface and I can get the Vocore2 to accept an IP address via DHCP on the ethernet interface, but I cannot connect to it.

I tried both a regular USB power supply and powering the Vocore2 via a regular USB cable from a laptop. Using USB power supply, I get "connection refused" when trying to SSH, with power from laptop, I get "connection timed out".

Any ideas how to connect to Vocore2 and fix it?

Thank you

CW

You can connect to by through USB, you can not use ssh, connect by USB you need to use putty(serial port connect) or kermit(serial port connect).
