[SOLVED] no connection as AP

Wed Dec 28, 2016 4:44 pm

Hi;
I'm sorry, I'm very new on router an AP setup.
I have a local network with an router from my local ISP. I want use Vocore2 as an access point (and later as an TOR ap). I have done the complete setup from vongers webpage. As SSID I have used the SSID from my router. Same I have done with the key. But when I have a look on the router client List, I can't see the Vocore. So what's wrong ?

Thanks for helping me.

Code: Select all
cat /etc/config/wireless
config wifi-device 'radio0'
.option type 'ralink'
.option variant 'mt7628'
.option country 'CN'
.option hwmode '11g'
.option htmode 'HT40'
.option channel 'auto'
.option disabled '0'

config wifi-iface 'ap'
.option device 'radio0'
.option mode 'ap'
.option network 'lan'
.option ifname 'ra0'
.option ssid 'VoCore2'
.option encryption 'none'

config wifi-iface 'sta'
.option device 'radio0'
.option mode 'sta'
.option network 'wwan'
.option ifname 'apcli0'
.option led 'mediatek:orange:wifi'
.option encryption 'psk'
.option key 'RouterWPA key'
.option ssid 'Router-SSID'
.option disabled '1'

PS. I have written the same post before, but I can't find the post in the forum. So I have created a new post. So I hope, this is no double post.

.option device 'radio0'
.option mode 'ap'
.option network 'lan'
.option ifname 'ra0'
.option ssid 'VoCore2'
.option encryption 'none'

why before the option there is a point '.'?
Maybe remove it will fix such issue.

Today I can "see" the Vocore as "unknown" device in my router clients list. I can ssh 192.168.0.137 and get a connection to the VoCore2. But all my other devices (smartphone/tablet/desktop) can't find the "unknown" device.

check /etc/config/firewall
it might block the network.
