Smaller docks (like audio dock)

I just bought a vocore2+ultimate dock.

Then I saw the audio dock.

For some project, I would find useful such smaller docks, like one without ethernet or full-size usb, but with microusb (for powering on and ethernet-over-gadget) and microsd reader.

This would make such dock still thin (like the audio one), albeit with a bunch of basic io and storage.

If enough are interested, we could ask vonger to make it available.
Or make ourselves.

thank you in advance
m.

We will have this option soon(should in two or three days).Image
There are two options, one USB power board, you can directly connect vocore to usb power source; one is tf card board, used to connect with tf card.

This is great news.

I will keep an eye on this, and order one (or two, or more) as soon as it is available.

Thank you

Just three more questions:

1) as far as I see, in the upcoming docks both USB data and power are connected. Am I right?
2) if data is connected, is host/otg or guest (or both) available
3) does the openwrt kernel provided with vocore2 support usb ethernet gadget?

I wish I can use the usb network gadget, to have a (smaller, compared to full fledged RJ45 ethernet) network interface to the Vocore2, alternative to wifi.

thank you

ok thank you.

will work out data lines myself.
(gonna use a micro-usb female connector instead of a USB-A male for my project)

I saw soldering on 2x GND and 2x 5V power.
Will soldering a 1x GND and 1x 5V power suffice to boot the VoCore2?

Can I ask,
Why is power only connected to mircoUSB in this case?

When configured with the DOCK, the microUSB is both power and serial comm port...

Is there a reason not to solder to the data port pins?

thanks!

USB data wires on VoCore2 is host mode, not device mode, so connect it is useless.
