UART2 on the "non-dock"-version

Fri Jan 06, 2017 8:30 pm

Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding the UART2 on the board-only -version of the VoCore2.
First, are the TXD2 and RXD2 connectionholes used on the board the ones below P0TN and above P2RP, or are they the two "standalone" -connectionholes to the right? I can't really decide what to read of the image on the webpage.

Next question, is the baudrate on UART2 on this board also set to 115200?

Whatever I try I only get garbage trying to connect a USB-PL2303 -interface to what I believe is the TXD2 and RXD2 on this board. I have tried quite a few baudrates now, including 115200.

1. If you are using our firmware, TXD2/RXD2 is the debug port. please follow the dock sch to connect to it.
2. The speed is 115200, please check vocore.io/v2.html

I think I now have bricked both my VoCore 2 units. I tried experimenting with the TXD0 and RXD0 and communicate with another serial-device using a terminal emulator. After doing this I started to get "-ash: dmesg: Exec format error" for every command I tried to execute from the command-line. Trying to reboot the device it will not join my wifi-network anymore.
Are there any factory-reset -procedures that does not include using the UART?
I just can't seem to get the debug-console (UART2) to work, trying to follow the schematics and connecting TX/RX/GND to a RS232-interface of a PL2303-USB-adapter.
