Vcore2 plain board only - Startup/Conn Issues

Greets!

Vocore2 plain chip. Powered via benchtop power and/or USB +5V/GND and using a USBTTL board connected to my PC.

My USBTTL has it's own drivers so once I plugin I get a COM port so I run PUTTY to connect to the device; then power on.

Below is what I get and after this it's a constant barrage of statements with MTK-SD and 'Not enough volts'. This continues until I power off.

I did, at one time, see the AP in my wireless list and connected to LUCI only once and hit the ENABLE on the STA where it then just sat and sat until it never returned. Powering off, I can no longer see the AP to connect.

I'm intermediate and have some tools at my disposal but unlike the Vcore original, there appears no RESET pin to default back. I know I likely have to flash the firmware but since I received this months ago; I've not been able to connect. I've been trying since when I can and time permits.

I have 1.27mm female header pins soldered on all minus the DEBUG UART which I've also tried and get the same.

I know many others here have fixed their issues similar or same to this but I cannot seem to input anything to have it stop the barrage of stuff and now the AP doesn't show.

Thanks Vonger and I'll go do that now.. I've got debug UART now stable finally and my USBTTL (cheap eBay) must be wonky.

I used my genuine FTDI ones and now it's stable :) Will update firmware now.

Can you please clarify the USB capabilities on the main VoCore2 board?

I have the 'Ultimate' but really all I need is on the main board.... I think.
The feature list says the Vocore2 supports 'USB Host Mode', but all the user docs and forum pages only refer to using the micro-USB connector for power and serial port access.... and the note for vocore.io/store page list USB as 'for power only'.

Does this mean I must have the DOCK board in order to get real USB support for VoCore2? Will this also be the case for -LITE?

Hi, the board version is for the people already know what it is and how to work with hardware.
For beginner, I suggest you start from dock version. Learn how the dock works first, once you understand the sch you can go on the board version.

Yes, I have been working with the Ultimate package and found that it very nicely meets my needs.
But for simplicity and cost, it seems all I really need is USB host port to support a USB 2.0 dongle adapter, which is on the VoCore2 board.

With the appropriate caveats about care in soldering, it seems that the USB port could be wired to a standard USB 2.0 host connector and a separate 5v power adapter connector could also be wired up separately. This would nicely achieve my goal and I don't see anything on the schematics which would prevent this, anything I'm missing?
