REFCLK Pin?

What is the situation where you need to connect anything to the Pin REFCLK?
I am laying out a breakout board for this vocore2 and thinking not to connect anything to it at all. Will I miss anything if I do so?

REFCLK is for audio codec.

REFCLK is for audio codec.
Thanks Vonger. Further reading the datasheet, pin REFCLK seems to also work as one of GPIOs with a correct pin mux setting. Am I correct?
