New to Vocore2

Fri May 26, 2017 5:50 am

Hello,

I'm new to this technology. I backed the project when it was only $4. All I received was the chip and no dock. I'd like to turn my Vocore2 into a temperature monitor that sends up the data to a website. But I'm clueless on where to start. Looks like I may have to solder a usb port to even power it? I did some googling, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places?

Any help is much appreciated.

first you must power up it.
then find a sensor connect to i2c.
write some code to make it work.
on my blog vonger.cn there are many examples, read from 2014 :)

Thanks for the response.

I guess that's my question. How do I power it on?

check vocore.io/v2.html.
Must use a stable 5V input, better from notebook USB.

First you can use the usb wire "touch" the power input, in one second, the LED will go light. If not, disconnect the power and check again to avoid damage. Remember, only 5V or under 5V is allowed, do not use 9V or 12V!!
After it is success boot up, then solder it.
and better to use notebook usb port, some 5V charger is not stable, might damage vocore2.
