default we are using UART2 as debug port, looks like your firmware is not using VOCORE2.dts, so debug console is changed after you update the firmware.
Try to fix your firmware and make it using UART2 as debug console port, then use kermit and uboot upload the firmware, it will recover.

PS: VoCore2 firmware default enable wifi, but if you compile from openwrt/lede, wifi is default off. you can connect to your VoCore2 by ethernet and setting /etc/config/wireless, remove the disable setting.

Thanks for the reply Vonger,

but no joy using kermit, the port /dev/ttyACM0 connects but no response from Vocore2. I also tried connecting to the device via ethernet, but also dead no response(tried both 192.168.1.1 & 192.168.61.1after some reading).

Thanks for your prompt suggestions.

That's bad, try vocore.io/v2.html fix brick section. :)
