Configuring Vocore2 (micro SD card model) with USB

Thu Sep 14, 2017 6:10 pm

I was attempting to connect my Vocore2 (with micro SD card) to the internet to install various Python packages for a project. In the process, I accidentally changed a firmware setting which caused me to lose connection with the Vocore. It still outputs a WiFi signal but, when attempting to navigate to the usual 192.168.61.1 (mistakenly typed 192.168.1.1 in the original, unedited post), it fails to load. The alternative, of course, is to connect via USB. I assumed the two blank pins on the USB connector are for data and soldered it to the pins on the Vocore underneath the USB connector. After soldering, I attempted to connect via USB communications, but the Device Manage in Windows 10 does not detect it! Any ideas for reestablishing communication with my Vocore and making the USB functional?

Thank you.

The USB port of VoCore2 is Host mode, so it can not be use directly. You will need a USB2TTL connect to UART2(TXD2/RXD2) to login to console, or check vocore.io/v2 fix your VoCore2 with another working one.

And if 192.168.1.1 can not login, try 192.168.61.1, might work.

Return to VoCore2/Lite/Ultimate
