I got a small number of nice PCM audio chips. They have a single channel in and out and built in mic preamp as well as headphone output.
It would be nice for simple sound out or VOIP type solutions. Being a direct PCM chip it wouldn't need a USB port or drivers etc.
Has anybody used the PCM on the VoCore or know if the port is working? I say this because the LED for ethernet is apparently connected on the PCM_FS pin which would need to be used for PCM again.
Before I go trying to hook the thing up I would like some assurance I am not going to be beating my head against a brick wall (again).
Otherwise I will stick with the cheap USB sound cards from ebay.

Re: PCM Audio
I think the Ethernet LED should be no problem, it is just a configuration thing - if i remember correctly you could even program these LEDs via Lucy.
