libusb on vocore

Tue Mar 17, 2015 8:54 am

Hi guys, is there any way how to get libusb instead of libusb-1 on vcore?
I installed gPhoto2 package to control DSLR camera via USB and it crashes during detecting camera over USB.
I read http://sourceforge.net/p/gphoto/mailman ... /29751984/ and someone recommended to use libusb instead of libusb-1.0.
Any advices? I'm using version barrier breaker (stable).

Hi,

not sure if you're still looking for the answer, but I've just managed to get (almost) newest version of gphoto2 to run on vcore. I've compiled new image from scratch.

1) First I've downloaded git repo of openwrt (hash b0a394690fb78f6b57abc7f4405310792473bd59 worked for me) and prepared environment using information from this link: https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/build
2) Next I've copied package definitions ( libgphoto2, gphoto2, libexif ) from this repository: https://gitlab.labs.nic.cz/turris/openwrt-packages to my repo
3) Then I've applied two patches: https://gist.github.com/plntyk/0ac14b65336b1cee1979 and https://gist.github.com/plntyk/d87b62930481789e9bd2 found in this thread: https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?id=56312
4) I've successfully built system and uploaded to my vocore
5) Taking photos works fine with my Sony SLT-A58

Hope this information helps you or someone else interested in running gphoto on newest openwrt.
