I just thought I'd share my recent experience.
I'm in the UK and wanted a case for my vocore and dock, I'd seen the STL file on the website and thought I could be able to send it to a 3d printing service.
As most of the 3d printing services on ebay quote on model size I wasn't sure how much this would could so I emailed the STL model to them for a quote.
Due to the small size including delivered I was quoted less than £2.50 and it turned out that the STL model needed a few tweaks to get it to print.
Adrian also sent me lots of photos of the process and finished product.
If anyone's interested Adrian's details are in the ebay listing, I would certainly recommend you email him directly.

I've been looking for something similar so I would be interested to find out what you think of the quality of the cases when you get them back from Adrian.

Here are a couple of pics. The cases themselves are great the only think that lets them down in the logo and I guess that would be easy to remove from the STL. Although one logo is inside so no one will see it.
