First should be some output on dmesg log when any usb device connected.
No new devices in /dev
Before UB drive connected:

I tried USB storage, mouse, TTL adapter and not any of them seems to be working. But all fine on my router running OpenWRT.

Is it possible my USB port has some PCB issue?

It sounds like you have a problem well below the USB storage level, you should see something from the kernel on the UART console when you plug in the device and it should show up in lsusb and dmesg.

What image are you using? I recommend the released Chaos Calmer at this time from http://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05/

What does lsmod|grep usb show?

dmesg| grep usb?

You should see something in dmesg and lsusb whenever a device is plugged in the USB port. Try whatever you have handy, a mouse, webcam, anything that doesn't need a lot of current (like a USB drive with a spinning platter does).

And yes, once USB storage is working you will see /dev/sda and /dev/sda1.

Where did ums-usbat come from? It isn't a standard package. It is likely the source of your problems.
