Hello everyone,
1 - I'm getting started to work with the Vocore this week and I'd note that when i plug into 5V power supply and logg with SSH, the temperature in the processor makes very high, it's normal to operate in high temperature or this is maybe a problem in my hardware?
2 - Does anybody test some web server in the open wrt like lighthttp or one of the followings http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/http.overview?
Temperature high

Re: Temperature high
The vocore does run with a high temp, however its hard to say if yours is too high since we don't know what you're seeing.

Re: Temperature high
I stuck a copper "ram chip" heat sink on mine.
It gets quite hot, unpleasant to touch but not sure on the exact temp.
I have also at times put a small 4cm fan (undervolted to 5v) over the chip/heatsink. The fan is undervolted too much to spin up on its own so needs a push start
The heat IS a problem.

Re: Temperature high
About the http server, Vonger was working on vohttpd for a bit - http://vonger.cn/?p=1684
The heat is normal, mine only gets about 100*F now because the heat sync is massive. It seems to be more energy efficient when it runs cooler too

Re: Temperature high
I can confirm that cooler chips are more energy-efficent - this is not a myth, it is called physics

Re: Temperature high
Makes me wonder if my Heatsink is enough now!
Still, it's firmly attached so too late now.
