Patching existing VoCore.bin for Dock2?

I'm wondering, do the latest snapshot releases of openwrt for the vocore use a dock1 or a dock2 configuration?

If its a dock1 configuration, can I patch the existing firmware/installation to work with the dock2 layout?

Hi, I really do not suggest you use latest openwrt tons of bugs, better to use stable one, 1505 or 1407, really.
I am keeping submit patches to openwrt, if you are not a developer, better wait our stable release

My question is this:

Can I take the firmware for 15.05, the .bin file, and patch the .bin file for the dock2?

Or do I have to build it from scratch?
