I'm looking for some help from folks who have successfully gotten alsa-utils onto a recent firmware for the vocore2. I'm looking to do something similar to Vonger's Blog Post for DIY sound record device (https://vonger.cn/?p=14722) however all reasonable attempts to get alsa onto the device have eluded me. A few things I've tried:
- Checking opkg list on the vocore2 itself (no alsa packages available)
- Pulling packages from the openwrt mipsel_24kc packages (e.g. https://archive.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.0/packages/mipsel_24kc/packages/). This worked for the package itself, but opkg dependencies eventually can't be met because one of alsa-utils' dependencies has a dependency on a specific version of kernel which is *not* on the vocore2.
Anyone who got it alsa on their vocore2 and subsequently got it working, can you give me a pointer in the right direction?

Re: alsa-utils on Vocore2
You can download the source code of OpenWRT and apply the sound-related sound card driver patch in github.com/vonger/vocore2, then check alsa-utils in the openwrt menu, then build the firmware and apply it on vocore2
